Santa Claus is coming to town and he’s coming real soon…it’s December and I can’t quite believe it, just as we say every year, this year has truly flown it. Seeing as it’s December, you’re probably guessing what’s coming next, it’s that time of the year for another Christmas Gift Guide post…so buckle up and prepare yourself for some unique little items that I’ve come across recently.
First up are Shea Plus Luxury lip balms with a unique twist, bringing a whole different side to your plain old lip balms that lie at the bottom of your handbag half the year. Now I’m a Prosecco lover so I had to do a slight double take when I seen they had a Prosecco flavoured lip balm, is this what dreams are made of? It sure does feel like it. I couldn’t quite believe it when I opened the tin to the smell of pure prosecco, as if I was holding a bottle of the real thing in my very own hand, it’s that good. Alongside this wonderful flavour are Gin and Tonic, and Bailey’s Irish Cream. The Bailey’s Irish Cream really is like Bailey’s, and that’s coming from someone who has never drank it. Apart from being such unusually amazing flavours and flavours of some of the best alcoholic beverages out there, you can now have them tucked in a little organza bag with its very own personalised tag, giving it that extra personal touch, and making it a lovely little stocking filler. Prices range from £3.85 to £4.45 depending on whether you want it in a personalised gift box or little gift bag. The prosecco flavour will be a winning gift for any prosecco lover out there.
Papier Beau are a favourite of mine after featuring in my bedroom decor post that went down an absolute treat back in March, so it was only right to feature them in this gift guide post. I’ve picked two of my latest favourite products from their website that I think would make ideal gifts. My first pick includes the Absolutely Fabulous Coasters & Tray which feature quirky little puns on them such as ‘such a hot-tea‘ and ‘too hot to handle‘. With coasters like these, I can only imagine that tea-drinking would be made all the more exciting. Being a tea fanatic, these would look great on my desk at work so I think this set will be something I’m purchasing in the very near future. My second pick was these make-up bags which cost £5 each and you can choose from the 4 they offer, it depends what you feel the recipient would love more. These would be a great travel companion too, fitting in all your beauty essentials to take on the go, snap one up before they sell out like the majority of the products currently on Papier Beau.
Sometimes all we need is a little ‘pick me up’, a reminder that one bad day doesn’t equate to a bad life. The Mood Booster Journal is a journal that allows you to see the true potential in yourself by reflecting and focusing on the positive aspects of both you and your life. With lots of special features, you can take a read back over your entries at any time, which can give you that special boost you may require. Since receiving it I’ve flicked through it time and time again and my excitement only builds for starting it in the New Year. I’d start it now but I feel like after this year being both one of the best and worst years of my life, I’d rather start it in 2018 on a fresh note, and in doing so I’ll hopefully really get into the habit of using it. The Mood Booster Journal came around after the founder Camilla suffered a spell of problems with anxiety and depression, and wrote down little notes of positivity in an attempt to try and recapture the good old days. Anyone who has experienced problems with their mental health will understand how hard this can be, but after a while Camilla began to feel better, with these little notes being referred to as ‘mood boosters‘ and so the idea for this journal flourished. In terms of the design Camilla took the minimalist approach but it works so well, giving off nothing but peaceful vibes. Its colours and 3 simples words ‘Live | Capture | Flourish‘ on the front make this journal simple but meaningful, it’s the opposite of in your face and overpowering. So what does it include? Some of its many features include 30 prompts for reflection, pages for jotting down your favourite quotes, sticking in visual memories, a happiness diary, it’s basically 289 pages of pure amazingness. My favourite thing about it is that it’s not annually dated, there’s a column where you yourself can write in the year, meaning you can use it every single year without it being a journal specifically dated for say 2017. If you know anyone that needs a little boost then this could be the ONE gift that could bring happiness back into their life and help them through those dark days. Costing £15 for a paperback journal or £22 for the hardback, you really can’t put a price on happiness so this is going to be a big seller in 2018!
You can never go wrong with a pair of pyjamas and you definitely can never have enough pairs of pyjamas, I certainly love receiving them so why not give them too. Cyberjammies are a recent company that I came across only last week, so I had to add them into this post, as if someone bought me a pair of these pyjamas I’d be over the moon. Just last weekend I was allowed to choose a pair of pyjamas from the Cyber Jammies stand at the Girls Day Out to take home and enjoy, and that’s exactly what I done last Sunday night. I picked the Erin Woven Long Sleeve Brushed Check Pyjamas that come in at £45 and oh my were they comfy. I now can’t wait to get home from work each night to put these on, they’re super soft to touch and I go into relaxed mode as soon as they’re on and against my skin. With these very pyjamas being representative of Christmas due to their colour, I can’t feel any more Christmassy. If these pyjamas aren’t for you though, don’t fret, they have PAGES of pyjamas so you’ll be bound to find the dream set on there.
Finally are these impressive make-up brushes, known as The Glam Clam and I’ll admit they are rather appealing to the eyes, I’d buy them based on looks alone. I’m a fan of anything that resembles mermaids in the slightest so this had me at hello. This set contains 10 of Spectrum’s best-selling brushes so you’ll have every brush for every look, whether it’s for the Instagram brow, the winged eye, or the enhanced lip, you’ll have it. These brushes are mesmerising and so is the clam shell clutch that they’re held in. I won’t go into much more detail about this product as they speak for themselves, all I’ll say is that they cost £59.99 and anyone would be pretty lucky to have them tucked under their Christmas tree.
That’s my Christmas Gift Guide for this year complete, I hope you’ve liked the products I chose to feature in the post and I’ve gave you some inspiration for your Christmas shopping if you’re like me and have barely started.
