Strictly Girls Only

Being a girl isn’t so straightforward, with Mother Nature and the pain that accompanies it, and the constant rollercoaster of emotions, that time of the month can prove frustrating to say the least. Now in this post I’m going to introduce you to a couple of handbag essentials I had the chance to review, products that may become your new best friend in times of need.

First up is Fab Little Bag and the name says it all. Now these were designed for confident tampon disposal, making things that little bit more discreet – just the way you want it. Not only that but these bags also prove ideal for wipes, panty liners, or even sanitary towels depending on the size. Here’s 3 reasons as to why these are indeed fab little bags:

  1. Practical
  2. Environmentally friendly (35% organic material)
  3. Stress free

What’s great about these are the little finger loops which allow you to open and close the bag with one hand, simple. Prices range depending on what kind of pack you want to go for, but for a handbag pack of 5 these cost only £1.99, and a bathroom pack of 20, £2.99. I think these products are ideal for any ages, but I would most definitely encourage teenage girls to buy them, if they’re in school 9-3 per day these little bags can sit in their school bags, allowing them to not worry about disposing products, I remember being embarrassed as a 13 year old about these kind of things, questioning what I’d do if there weren’t any bins in the toilets etc, so this is stress free, and guilt free. You can buy these over on their website:

Secondly is Caught Short. These bikini style briefs were designed to fit in your handbag as a spare pair incase of any accidents, hence the motto “panties-to-go”. As well as being convenient, they aren’t disposable, allowing them to be washed and worn time and time again. Now I’m usually a size 10 on the bottom half of my body (depending on the stretch of the material) so I was kindly sent both small and medium so I could comment on size. Small is 8-10, and Medium 12-14. In future I would definitely stick to the medium, as they were a lot more of a comfortable fit, the small, although they weren’t uncomfortably tight, they would make my panty line more visible through the likes of leggings etc. These pants come in colours white, black, or nude and they come in a little clear, reusable bag, which can then be used to hold some of your handbag essentials. Each pair are priced at £7.50 each and you receive a packet of Fab Little Bags, and Organyc panty pads with your order. You can find out more information and purchase these products on their website:

It’s good to see more products like this being put out there for us ladies, some people can be quite reserved about talking about such products or even buying them, but we’re all girls at the end of the day, and these products give us that little helping hand to get us through those particular times of the month.

I think period care/protection is something which needs to be put out there so that more teenage girls can access it and know about it. I especially love the fab little bags, very useful as not only can it be embarrassing if there are no bins in the toilets, sanitary disposal bins are generally quite disgusting! These bags will really help the bins be ‘less disgusting’😂❤️

Definitely, in school they should educate more on it, so it’s not viewed as something that can’t be talked about because it’s “embarrassing”. Exactly, nothing better than a nice little bag to put things in.
